Review Methodology

Scoring

Each criterion is rated 1 to 10. Weights are applied, the numbers are summed and the result is divided by 10 to produce a decimal score between 1 and 10. Scores at or above 8 earn a `recommended` badge; between 6 and 7.9 we call the site `fair`; below 6 is `avoid`. We publish the full breakdown on the main review so you can see which criterion carried the headline score and which pulled it down.

Example walkthrough

A hypothetical Mega Bonanza scoring run: bonuses score 7.5 (the 150% match is strong but 45x wagering is tight) weighted at 20% = 1.50; lobby 7.0 at 15% = 1.05; payments 6.5 at 20% = 1.30; mobile 7.5 at 15% = 1.13; security 7.0 at 15% = 1.05; support 7.5 at 10% = 0.75; transparency 7.0 at 5% = 0.35. Sum: 7.13 out of 10. That maps to a `fair` verdict with the bonus and support sections called out as strong points and the payment limits noted as the main drag.

Criteria

Every review on this site is built on seven criteria, each weighted by how much it matters to a US reader. Bonuses and promotions carry 20% of the score and reflect the match percentage, free spins, wagering requirement, max bet cap and expiry. The slot and sweepstakes lobby accounts for 15%: provider range, number of games, how fresh the releases are. Payments weigh 20% — supported methods, redemption time, limits and verification steps. The mobile experience is worth 15% and covers both the app and the mobile web lobby. Security, licensing and the social casino's regulatory position pull 15%. Customer support — hours, channels, actual response time we logged — contributes 10%. The remaining 5% is reserved for honesty: the operator's terms transparency, bonus wording clarity, dispute history.

Re-review cycle

Every review on the site is scheduled for a re-check every six months, and sooner when the operator changes a bonus, adds a payment method or passes a licensing milestone. Readers who email a change we have missed get the page updated faster. The date of the last re-check is logged at the top of each review.

What lowers the score

Hidden terms, bonus clauses that only appear after you deposit, payouts that take weeks without warning, support that answers only in office hours when the operator advertises 24/7, forced identity checks after you request a withdrawal rather than up front, and any pattern of account closures around winning players are the fastest ways for a site to lose points. Changing wagering retroactively on a live promotion also drops the honesty score sharply. Technical faults — a broken deposit page, an app that crashes on launch, missing provider logos — matter less for the headline score but are documented.
